Does anyone know what's going on! Deadline day madness

So, a complete frenzy of speculation has erupted on deadline day. Unfortunately none of it seems clear - especially as ANR is receiving so many hits that their server has actually taken them offline.
No deals seem to have been confirmed, but here are the ones that I've heard of, and my score (out of 10) for likelihood of actually occuring.

Ito - 9. Who?
Baptista/Reyes 7. So, losing a winger for a central midfielder? Baptista does fit the Wenger requirements of a misfit at a big club who Wenger will save, leading to improved player holding us to ransom when other clubs become interested in him again. I think we do need to get shot of Reyes though.
Gallas/Cole. 5. I think it now seems more likely we'll both keep our players, or, if players do move, only Cashley will. And on a playing level, if we were to lose Ash and not get Gallas, the club's squad will have been weakened, not matter how much of a disruptive influence Ash could potentially be.
Reo-Coker - 4. Wenger's probably interested, but he'll be priced out due to the Fact R-C is English.

By far the most sensational move of the day is that of Mascherano and Tevez going to West Ham. This is very, very fishy. At best it would seem that MSI - the shadowy company who own the players, rather than Corinthians, their actual club - want to put these two in the EPL for a season to increase their value before flogging them to a bigger club next summer. At worst, MSI could be using these guys as pawns to improve West Ham before their take-over of the club.

Only 6 hours to go. I'm going out tonight and when I come back we better have some new players.

I think you're right. If this happens I give up on Wenger. And I just can't see Henry accepting this and will leave for Barcelona in January.

Priority number one - ASHLEY COLE HAD BETTER LEAVE BY MIDNIGHT - I will not be accepting him showing his face at The Emirates and will let him know from my season ticket seat. I hope I am in the majority.

No signings? Well, we should let Arsene know about that after the event. And I hope we will.

BUT - Cole out. No option.

I think Cole for Gallas and Reyes for Baptista will happen tonight. One thing I do know having watched skysportsnews all day is.....Di Stewart is soooooooo fit, can we sign her? Oh and if Cole goes we'll def get Gallas, DD and AW will not let Cole go otherwise.

henry leaving to barca in January...cuptied? no.

Arsneal just dont do their business this late in a working day, let alone a transfer window. I can see Cole leaving, and perhaps Reyes, but i doubt we will sign anyone.

It does not look good, but hopefully Gallas and Baptista may come in exchange and me might sign that Ito and Naismith.

Disappointing day so far, also bizarre, to end a highly disappointing summer.

The West Ham deal is highly seedy. Their silence is deafening. If they had signed these players through their own negotiations and finances they would be making as much noise about it as possible. The fact they are not is very telling.

COLE OUT, NOW.

Baptista would be a good signing as we are short of central midfielders and we have enough wide players. A central defender would also be nice!

CASHLEY OUT.

Cole & Downing have left England training so expect to see them next holding Chavski & Tottscum shirts repectively

If true good. Plus he would be well advised to have the flu or a minor starin on the date Chelski come to The Emirates.

Cole leaving is only good news if we are signing a defender. There has been nothing regarding us signing anyone all day long. Only players going out.

If cole and reyes leave without replacement, we are in dire straits.

the only way Cole is leaving is if we get Gallas in return, it's a no brainer really isn't it? Do you think AW and DD would say, "yeah, have a world class left back, and we can't spend the money in the meantime." Only way Chelski will get Cole is if they are willing to part with Gallas. Simple really. By midnight either Cole or Gallas will be an Arsenal player. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

In the highly likely event that we sign no-one... keep the faith. Arsene knows. And in DD, we have a man who has transformed AFC,. Stop whining you ingrates

I seriously want to bum Di Stewart.

You can't just keep a stiff upper lip and just repeat over and over again "Arsene knows".

Every single team in the Premier League has strengthened excecpt Arsenal.

We haven't (yet?) and it seems Wenger is the only one who can't see that it desperately needs to happen.

Chelski have confirmed that a swap deal between Cole and Gallas is close. I reckon a deal's been agreed and the players are about to undergo medicals etc. But then, what do I know? Other than the fact that Di Stewart is ripe for some greasy ramrod action!

Champions League

Now we really are having a laugh. 'Arsene knows' does not wash with me anymore, if last season and the two opening games of this has not shown our squad is short of class nothing will,

Sure our best 11 is worthy of at least 4th but they wont play every game and lengthy layoffs to any of Henry, Gilberto or Toure and we will be f~~ked!!!!!

we havent replaced Vieira yet let alone Pires, Bergkamp and Campbell

If Reyes and Cole go for cash only, god help us

Spanish press is saying we are signing Baptista and Roberto Carlos!

We all know that this is a transitional period, and 4th place is a reasonable target, tho I expect us to finish third. Last year FC4 was a 'prospect' as were Djourou and Diaby. We are in fine shape, perhaps we could use some backup in defensive midfield tho Lauren was originally bought for this position and he is a fine player, but we do not need a striker. A backup plan for the Jens leaving next year would be good.Let's get the injured back on the pitch and we will be fine. Or would it be better if we signed Pennant or Bellamy or Sol or wasted £18m on Carrick (another Veron!)

HI FELLOW GOONERS,

I HOPE WE SIGN BAPTISTA. OUR TEAM HAS LOADS OF FINESSE BUT LACKS STRENGTH.

HE IS DIRECT, SCORES GOALS AND IS A BRUTE.

A REAL BULLY ESPECIALLY AT AWAY GAMES IS JUST WHAT WE NEED!
